Big Punisher (Big Pun)

Big Punisher (abreviado Big Pun, nació con el nombre de Christopher Lee Rios el 9 de noviembre de 1971 en el South Park, Houston, Texas], EEUU, y murió el 7 de febrero de 2000 en Atlanta,Georgia EEUU) fue un rapero de origen portorriqueño que emergió de la escena underground en el Bronx a finales de 1990.

Nacido en una comunidad de latinos en el South park Houston, durante sus primeros años en el mundo del hip hop, Christopher Rios practicaba basket, boxeo y otros deportes. Big Pun empezó a escribir para sus raps durante la década de los 80’ hasta el punto de formar Full A Clips Crew con Triple Seis, Cuban Link y Prospect. Después de asociarse en 1995 con el también originario de Puerto Rico y el Bronx Fat Joe, en 1995, Pun hizo su debut comercial en Jealous Ones Envy (J.O.E.), tema del segundo álbum de Fat Joe.

Los seguidores de Pun alaban sus complejas combinaciones de rimas, su excelso juego de palabras, la habilidad con que mantenía el ritmo y su implacable flow, llegando a quedarse sin aliento a pesar de su enorme peso.
